I love this! I was SO into Valentine's Day, and especially in the fourth - seventh grades when I was completely boy crazy. We would sort out the conversation hearts in a muffin tin according to the saying. Because, I couldn't accidentally give a boy I hated a heart candy that said "Luv Ya"! I guess now all the store-bought cards have pre-packaged candy with them, but back in the day we would shove two or three hearts in the little envelope, then tape it shut (that glue never worked)!

I too should have had my ass kicked, because is Jr. High we would wear white tights with valentine-decorated boy-boxers over them, white keds, red socks and a red shirt. Yep, late eighties!!

Thanks for the memories. Funny.

That is awesome. I think I'll pick up some supplies this weekend and make valentine's with my daughter next week. Thanks for the inspiration!

I did the same thing when I was little. It was a huge deal to make the Valentine's and my Mom would always make heart shaped little cakes for my class and I even had a heart shaped sandwich for lunch.

Also, big for the 80's were the visors and flip-flops with the big bows and ribbons. I had both to match each outfit in the summer. I still like crafts though and I don't care who knows it! Hot glue guns rule!
